To run as a PC, the candidate must be a Qualified Elector of the precinct and a Qualified Primary Republican; or, obtain an authorization form from the County Chairman in the county in which they reside. If there is a tie in a precinct between candidates, the four officers of the County Committee shall determine the winner.
Elected PCs have 30 days following the Primary Election to appoint their vice-precinct committeeman. If an elected PC does not appoint their VPC in this time period, the County Chair can make the appointment.
Candidates for precinct committeemen must file with their county’s clerk between Wednesday, January 8, 2020 and Friday, February 7, 2020 at noon.
