May Breakfast Club – May 23rd in Westfield

Joining us will be Westfield Mayor Andy Cook who will be discussing the progress on Westfied’s Grand Sports Park project as well as other happenings in Westfield Government. Don’t forget – the final Breakfast Club meeting before the May 8th Primary is NEXT WEDNESDAY, April 18th at Shapiro’s in Carmel. Please RSVP to the office at hcrp@hamiltoncountygop.org.

As a reminder to those Precinct Committeemen who have not submitted their precinct boards to the elections office that the deadline is NEXT TUESDAY, April 17. Please be sure to make calls to your previous workers, friends, neighbors, or off the future poll workers sheet to fill your boards by next Tuesday.

We are still in need of a few election board workers throughout the county. If you are interested in working, please contact the office at (317) 849-9600. Positions available are Inspectors, who are paid $150 for the day and a training session the week before the election; Judges, who are paid $95 for the day; and Clerks, who are paid $95 for the day. As we get closer to the Primary on May 8th, one of the main tasks in the office is coordinating the filling of precinct election board with our Precinct Committeemen and the Elections Office. PCs should have received information from the Elections Office within the last few weeks about filling their election boards for the Primary. We have already had a great response rate of boards that have been submitted, and wanted to remind those who have not filled their boards yet that the deadline is coming up in less than 2 weeks on Tuesday, April 17. If you have not started making calls to get workers, please do so now so you don’t have to rush later!

Carmel-Clay Republican Club Forum #1 – TONIGHT, Tuesday March 27 at 7:00pm

The Carmel-Clay Republican Club will be hosting the first of their Republican Candidate Forums TONIGHT at 7:00pm at Central Christian Church (1242 W 136th Street, Carmel). The forum tonight will feature candidates running for Hamilton County Treasurer, Hamilton County Commissioner District 2, and US Representative District 5. Come hear what Debbie Driskell and Todd Huston have to say about issues of importance to them and what role they believe government should play in our lives. It’s that time of year…the weather is warming up, it’s light out until after 7, and yard signs are popping up all over the county. We’re happy to announce that Mike Pence yard signs are in! The Pence campaign is making it easier than ever to get your sign early this year – simply head to www.mikepence.com/yardsign , and in a few weeks, you’ll have a Mike Pence for Governor sign delivered to your yard.

This Thursday, the Carmel YR Club will be meeting for the third of their 5th District Candidate Series. Previous months have featured Susan Brooks and Wayne Seybold, and this month’s speaker is Dr. John McGoff. This series has been well attended and is a great way to find out more information about the candidates running for the open 5th Congressional District seat – we hope you’ll be able to make it out for this month’s meeting as well the final meeting on April 19th with David McIntosh.

We want to thank all of you who came out over the last few weeks to support the great events that have been held. We had great turnouts at the Carmel-Clay Republican Club’s Annual Chili Supper and the HC Young Republican’s Spring Fling last week. We also had a record crowd at last month’s Breakfast Club in Noblesville with Senator Lugar. We continue to have great events coming up – please mark them down on your calendar and plan to attend!

March Breakfast Club
On Wednesday, March 21, we will be hosting a special Breakfast Club Meeting at 7:30am at Sahm’s in Fishers. Joining us will be the candidates for the new Statehouse District 37 seat in Fishers, Debbie Driskell and Todd Huston. Each candidate will be given time to introduce themselves, and then will answer questions from the audience. Our Breakfast Club Meetings have grown tremendously over the past year, and are now one of the largest monthly Republican meetings in the state. We hope you will be able to join us on the 21st. Fishers and Noblesville GOP Clubs
Both the Fishers and Noblesville GOP Clubs will be hosting regular monthly meetings in March. The Fishers GOP Club is meeting on Thursday, March 8th at Claude and Annie’s, and the Noblesville GOP Club is meeting on Wednesday, March 21st at Barley Island Brewery. Both clubs will be hosting Dr. John McGoff as their speakers. The Fishers GOP Club and Noblesville GOP Club are great ways to get involved by coming to meetings and hearing from Republican candidates and elected officials. We hope to see you at the upcoming meetings.

Forums, Forums, and more Forums!
The end of March is sure to be exciting, with both the Fishers GOP Club and the Carmel-Clay Republican Club hosting forums for various offices. This is a great opportunity to come out and hear what the candidates have to say in response to questions that YOU ask. More information will be available on the forums in later updates.
